How Your Donation Helps

The Intermountain Chapter “Preservation, Restoration, and Operation” fund is a general fund for the chapter that we use to distribute grants to various railroad preservation projects around the state. Visit our P-R-O Fund page to learn more about those grants.

P-R-O Fund

Grants are distributed by the Intermountain Chapter to railroad heritage and preservation groups in the state of Colorado that have demonstrated a dedicated effort to help preserve the rich railroading history of the state.

Your donation, on top of membership dues if you’re a member, also helps fund some of the things the Intermountain Chapter does including trips, events and providing information on Colorado railroads here on our site. Your generous donation also has a cascading effect of allowing us to reach further to help promote volunteering opportunities, matching donations from other organizations and promoting the inherent value of railroading heritage in Colorado.
